About

Hello Everyone! As a dog trainer, my goal had always been to spread helpful behavioral information to help man and dog, so I’m excited to finally do that with this blog. I believe we all should spread the knowledge we have when we have it. Although I get paid to help others, I feel It costs nothing to give some away in hopes of making a difference.

For a large part of my life I have focused on Psychology studies. I started a business training dogs and using my psychology background, but soon realized that we humans could also use some guidance. I majored in Psychology and have worked with dogs since 2012. Since then, I’ve learned many useful tips that I am excited to pass along. For those of you that would like to check out my credentials and experience, I’ll list them below. I hope you enjoy my content!

I Graduated with a degree in Psychology in 2011. From there, I applied to a vet tech program where I learned about animal health. I completed the program and was certified as a Vet tech. After this, interned with a veterinarian and learned about how health affects behavior. Then I decided to volunteer at a dog shelter an it was there that I fell in love with animal psychology. I searched for a program where I would learn about dog psychology by providing hands on experience, and in 2016 I was accepted into an apprenticeship program with a non-profit service dog organization. Once I completed the program and earned a dog training certification, I was offered a job and was ready to further sharpen my skills. During my time here I trained service dogs, managed the kennel, and became an apprenticeship instructor myself (Full circle). In 2018, I made the difficult decision of resigning to start my own business and had it running the same year. In 2021, I went back to school to obtain a master’s degree in psychology and I will be graduating soon. My private dog training business continues to grow and I’m happy to say that it has been successful thus far.

There’s nothing I love more than Psychology (Both human and dog). My goal is to become a therapist and utilize animal-assisted therapies to help heal humans that face the difficult challenges of life. This is precisely why I’ve decided to dedicate a blog to both Human and Dog psychology. My purpose has always been to help heal people. I truly hope you gain something positive through these entries and I’m always open to feedback and commentary.
